Fancy some relaxed, no pressure painting fun? Welcome to the Happy Artists Club, where we'll be holding bi-monthly relaxed painting sessions, at The Mulberry Bush in Thatcham, for artists of all shapes and sizes. You may be a complete beginner, or have had years of experience. Either way, we'd love to see you for a joyful art session to connect with other artists, to explore different projects and mediums and to have a cuppa and a catch up while we create!
Sound good? Spaces are limited to 10 people per session, otherwise it gets a bit crowded, so book your space in quick, and get your brushes at the ready!
We will have materials on hand for those who require them, but we also encourage you to bring along your paints and brushes so you can get used to them, and create how you want to.
Some months we'll explore different mediums and techniques, and learn together!
And in between sessions, there will be our private Facebook group, where we can share our work, ask questions, chat and decide on the theme for the following session. You'll get an invitation to join once you book your first session.

Corner to Corner Crochet (C2C) with Crochet Bouquet Saturday 8 February

known as C2C crochet, is the art of working diagonally using groups of treble (US double) crochet, a fun way to create a pixel image or striped design.
In this workshop, you will create you own pixel-based image, learning how to work the c2c crochet technique and changing colours neatly.
This workshop is generally aimed at people with a basic crochet knowledge (you will ideally need to know how to work a chain and treble), but allowances can be made for absolute beginners.
This workshop will be 3 hours long, light refreshments will be provided. Any food intolerances should be made aware before the workshop date.

Beginner's Crochet Class - 6 Week Course Commencing Thursday 27 February

All you need to crochet is to know how to do two things: Yarn over and pull up a loop. Then you can do anything.
This is a 6-week course, aimed at teaching you all the crochet skills you will need from week one learning the foundations and fundamentals, to the final week being able to add all the flourishes and decorative stitches.
You will have 24 squares at the end of this course, that you can sew together to create a final project of your choice - be it a blanket, a scarf, a couple of cushions, a floor cushion. Or you could keep adding to your blanket to make a massive throw!
You'll also get a binder of all your different square patterns, and to keep your beginner's guide in so you can refer back to them as needed.
NOTE: The cost covers all 6 weeks of the course, working out at £30 a week.
