Needle Felted Gnomes with Keep Me Close Creations Saturday 2 November

Come and join me, Ashlee, for a Needle Felting Workshop where you'll learn how to construct a cute (or ugly, but always awesome) gnome of your choice. You will design and create a unique gnome to show off to family and friends. It's a great way to start your needle felting journey. This class is perfect for beginners and people who have just started needle felting.

Painting for Products With Jo Richards Artist - Saturday 9th November

This workshop will teach you to create artwork for products. We'll paint something beautiful, and I'll take your artwork and enhance it digitally and pop it onto products for you as beautiful and unique Christmas gifts. You'll have all the materials you need provided to make your artwork, and your tuition fee covers the workshop itself and the digital preparation of your artwork for ordering. No products are included in the workshop fee.
Please note, you will have a choice of products, and you must cover the cost of the products and the postage cost of anything you wish to order on top of the workshop cost. No products are included in the workshop fee. There is no obligation to order any products should you not wish to. Products start from around £8-£10 for a tea towel, and up to £40 for a scarf. I will send a digital proof mock up prior to ordering, but cannot be held responsible for any print or delivery issues. Your products will arrive in time for Christmas. Only artwork produced in the workshop will be used for print. Any extra artwork manipulation will be subject to an additional editing fee.

Christmas Embroidery with Sylvia Roberts Saturday 9 November

Join workshop host Sylvia Roberts for this three-hour magical Christmas crafting experience creating a hand-embroidered decorative festive tea towel. During the class you will learn:
-> how to stitch a whimsical Christmas design
-> how to do several different embroidery stitches
-> how to add a fabric trim
-> how to create a 3D candy cane embellishment to add to your tea towel.
If you’re new to embroidery this is a great introductory class, or if you’ve dabbled in embroidery before this is an excellent chance to hone your skills on a new creative project surrounded by like-minded crafters. Sylvia will take you through step by step everything you need to do to create a beautiful stitched tea towel that you can take home to be the centrepiece of your kitchen this Christmas.
During the class you’ll learn the stitches and techniques you need to create your tea towel, and an instruction booklet will be included in your kit to enable you to complete the design at home.
You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and ring frame if you have one, but you will be able to borrow a hoop and scissors on the day.

Fused Glass Christmas Jar with The Glass Duck Saturday 16 November

Come and enjoy an afternoon of fused glass. Make 2 unique fused glass decorations to add to 2 sides a square glass jar.
During a 2 hour workshop you will be shown the basics of fused glass. Its a hands on workshop with no experience necessary. You will make a piece of fused glass using special fusing glass . Start with a square pre-cut base, This is decorated with glass frit (like glass glitter), stringers and glass scraps of coloured glass using tweezers and glue whilst wearing protective goggles. All health and safety procedures are in place . Your pieces are then fired back at the studio, attached to your jar and returned to The Mulberry Bush 7 - 10 days later. You could add a candle to your jar to light up your beautiful fused glass, or add wire so it can be hung in a special place.
All equipment and materials will be provided , as will refreshments and a sweet treat.
This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill. The pictures give an impression of what the finished product may look like. Everyone designs their own piece and obviously, each piece is unique and makes for a lovely keepsake.
You could design your glass for Christmas or make it as a gift for a special friend.
The price includes 1 jar. There is the opportunity to buy a 2nd jar and put a piece 1 piece of fused glass on each jar.

The Happy Artists Club with Jo Richards Saturday 30 November

Fancy some relaxed, no pressure painting fun? Welcome to the Happy Artists Club, where we'll be holding bi-monthly relaxed painting sessions, at The Mulberry Bush in Thatcham, for artists of all shapes and sizes. You may be a complete beginner, or have had years of experience. Either way, we'd love to see you for a joyful art session to connect with other artists, to explore different projects and mediums and to have a cuppa and a catch up while we create!
Sound good? Spaces are limited to 10 people per session, otherwise it gets a bit crowded, so book your space in quick, and get your brushes at the ready!
We will have materials on hand for those who require them, but we also encourage you to bring along your paints and brushes so you can get used to them, and create how you want to.
Some months we'll explore different mediums and techniques, and learn together!
And in between sessions, there will be our private Facebook group, where we can share our work, ask questions, chat and decide on the theme for the following session. You'll get an invitation to join once you book your first session.

The session will start at 6.30 pm and last for a couple of hours.
The cost per person is £50.00. A £20.00 deposit is required to secure your place (this can be taken over the telephone 01635 860900 or in the shop).
Never made a wreath before? Nothing to worry about as Helen will be on hand to help you.
All materials and tools will be supplied but you might want to bring an apron to protect your clothing.

Christmas Decorations with The Glass Duck Saturday 14 December -FULL

Come and make up to 3 beautiful fused glass Christmas tree decorations. Learn about the basics of fused glass and designing and making your own Christmas decorations. You can use our templates or design your own. The workshop includes:
The health and safety aspects of working with glass

Using different types of glass - pieces frits and stringers to create designs
An introduction to the basic tools used when working with glass
All materials and kiln firing is included
Also available is a pre-cut large Christmas Wreath ( £3 extra payable on the day)
Car parking onsite
Tea/ coffee and cold drinks provided and sometimes a biscuit or 2!
There is no glass cutting involved in this workshop but you can use mosaic cutters ( adults or 10+ years) to cut smaller pieces of glass. Your decorations will then be fired and available for collection in 7 - 10 days
Additional decorations can be made for an additional £8 each.
Suitable for children from 6 years+ and adults. Closed footwear must be worn and long hair tied back for health and safety
